April 14, 2009

The Honorable. Barak Obama
President of the United States of America:
Dear president:
The past March 9, fifty Cubans residents mainly from the United States, signed a request directed to you for the elimination of all the restrictions of the United States on Cuba, even the embargo. Later that letter was petitioned by another fifty Cubans. On behalf of those one hundred compatriots I would like to give you thanks for your courageous decision to suppress all the restrictions on trips and remittances to Cuba that we consider as an important first step towards the total normalization of relations between both countries.
With respect and admiration,
Ariel Hidalgo
